Steward's Report
Anita's Special went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Deb's Wish and Circus Dancer collided soon after the start. Sagarmatha and Circus Dancer collided approaching the first turn severely checking Circus Dancer which contacted the running rail checking Deb's Wish, King Chad and Urunga Bale. Circus Dancer and Anita's Special collided on the home turn. Urunga Bale and Revved Up Sal raced wide in the home straight.
Circus Dancer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.
