Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.1 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.4 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy
A race day urine sample was taken from Sia Riot at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Rugrat Tommy was slow to begin.
All Whiskey (severely checked and fell turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Patriot Cougar underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left dew claw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Aston Castle – the winner of the event.
