At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 34.9 degrees and the kennel temperature was 21 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Alcatraz Birdman and Shining Megg were quick to begin. Claretown Ray was slow to begin.
