Steward's Report
Longest Day and Red Inferno were slow out. Knuckle Bone and Stunning Gypsy collided soon after the start. Longest Day and Dr. Holmes collided approaching the first turn. Proven Mystical, Wispy Bouffant and Stunning Gypsy collided on the first turn. Red Inferno checked off the heels of Knuckle Bone on the first turn. Dr. Holmes eased on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Longest Day checked off the heels of Red Inferno approaching the second turn. Stunning Gypsy raced wide on the second turn. Stunning Gypsy checked off the heels of Proven Mystical on the third turn.
Dr. Holmes was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Acting under GAR 96.2 Stewards charged Dr. Holmes with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 97.1, before any future nomination will be accepted.
