Jilly Silkab checked off the heels of Dr. Slueth on the first turn. Where's My Mojo and Emma Michelle collided on the third turn. Dr. Slueth eased entering the home straight. Shanlyn Cobra and Emma Michelle collided several times approaching the winning post. Shanlyn Cobra was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right triangle muscle as well as spike wounds, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mrs L. Larsen, Representative for Trainer of Shanlyn Cobra, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Dr. Slueth was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR98(1)(d), Stewards charged Dr. Slueth with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
