Rosie Hunt and Tommie Hunt were slow to begin.
Dargo Street and Lunar Corona collided soon after the start. Rosie Hunt checked off Tommie Hunt on the first turn. Dargo Street and Pedro Shiraz collided approaching the home turn. Dargo Street and Lunar Corona collided on the home turn. Tommie Hunt crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Dargo Street and Lunar Corona. Dargo Street and Lunar Corona collided several times in the home straight.
Dargo Street was vetted following the event and revetted following race 9. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder, left triceps and left wrist. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
