There was no head-on vision available for this race.
Darley Dynamo was quick to begin. Darley Lass and Another Schooner were slow to begin.
Blazin' Diamonds checked off Inga Bella soon after the start. Blazin' Diamonds and Another Schooner collided on the first turn, checking Another Schooner. Another Schooner contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.
Blazin' Diamonds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg calf injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Another Schooner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and left hindleg thigh injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
