Steward's Report
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
The announcement of All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards to determine whether the rug of Red Potion (box 2) was fitted correctly. After taking evidence from the Steward at the start and the catcher of Red Potion, Stewards were satisfied that the rug was correctly fitted, despite having been pushed forward when the greyhound was placed in the boxes and All Clear was given on the semaphored numbers.
Lana's Image and Josie's Call were quick to begin.
Scott Confusion and Darley Park collided approaching the first turn, checking Scott Confusion. Solar System checked off Loco Luca on the first turn.
Red Potion underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Solar System underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg chest muscle injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
