Steward's Report
Rocky Point was quick to begin. Trending Air and Fairytale Swank were slow to begin.
Fairytale Swank checked off Westar Ivan on the first turn. Rocky Point visibly eased and turned its head outwards approaching the winning post. Westar Ivan and High Action collided approaching the winning post checking Westar Ivan.
Rocky Point underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. N Jones regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Rocky Point was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge and declined the option of a re-vet, Rocky Point is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
