On Degoey and Horus Blue were quick to begin. Lagatha was slow to begin. Belle Licious galloped on On Degoey approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Kilpatrick raced wide approaching the home turn. Belle Licious marred On Degoey entering the home straight, both greyhounds subsequently tailed off. Lagatha eased in the home straight and subsequently tailed off. Belle Licious marred On Degoey approaching the winning post.
On Degoey was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Lund the representative for Belle Licious regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Belle Licious with marring. Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge, Belle Licious was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks purusuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Lagatha was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Representative Mrs. S. Trim declined her option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Trim the representative for the greyhound Lagatha regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Lagatha with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Trim pleaded guilty to the charge, Lagatha was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
