Violets Are Red was quick to begin. Gunmetal Liam was slow to begin. Disco Lemonade and Seeka Moment collided approaching the first turn checking Disco Lemonade. Jesse's Typhoon and Surgical Wally collided on the first turn severely checking New Fire Girl, Jesse's Typhoon and Surgical Wally causing Surgical Wally to fall.
Surgical Wally was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured toe and ruptured ligament on the right hind foot, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
