Steward's Report
The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 18 February 2025.
Hit The Button was a late scratching at 10:32am by Order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to trainer Mr. Patrick Newell for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr. Newell pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.
Twilight Axle, Miss Barbie and Magic Bullseye were quick to begin. Got A Blank was slow to begin.
Aston Horizon (faltered turning off the back straight and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Moscoso Girl - the winner of the event.
