Steward's Report
Bells Of Victory and Dr. Gabriella were slow to begin.
Ringo Rose (turned its head to the outside turning off the back straight and visibly eased) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock injury and an abrasion to the left hind. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. Sharon Chignell regarding Ringo Rose’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Ringo Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Chignell pleaded not guilty to the charge. Ringo Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Bells Of Victory - the winner of the event.
There was no head on vision in the back straight for this event.
