Steward's Report
Ms. Georgia Cruickshank the representatiave for Zipping Todd declared a new weight of 27.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zipping Todd last raced at 28.5kg.
Temperature prior to this event - outside 32.2 degrees, kennels 19.3 degrees.
Chopping Spuds was quick to begin. Rocky's Kayo and Smoke And Embers were slow to begin. Taking Off was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Taking Off and Smoke And Embers collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn severely checking Taking Off. Zipping Todd was checked off Hurricane Craig on the home turn.
Smoke and Embers was vetted on the request of the representative Mrs. S. Trim. It was reported that the greyhound showed signs of cramp after the finish of the event. No stand down period was imposed.
