Steward's Report
Urine samples were taken from Garcia Bale and Aston Pace upon arrival at the course.
Delightful was quick to begin. Aston Pace and Elli's My Girl were slow to begin.
Aston Accord underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported
Stewards spoke to Representative Mr C.Reynolds regarding Aston Accord’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Aston Accord was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Reynolds pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Accord was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Garcia Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen, was found to have a left hind toe injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Delightful – the winner of the event.
