Temperature prior to this event - outside 33.5 degrees, kennels 19.5 degrees.
Smoke Signals and Kubla De Kahn were slow to begin. Kubla De Kahn faltered soon after the start and lost ground. Bela Natali, Sharon's Gold and Keep 'Em Keen collided soon after the start checking Bela Natali and Sharon's Gold. Cloncurry Girl crossed to the rail soon after the start. Keep 'Em Keen and Smoke Signals collided approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.
Kubla De Kahn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
