Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Oreo's Portrait and Mt. View Pearl were quick to begin. My. View Bro was slow to begin.

Sir Roman checked off Mt. View Pearl soon after the start. Chasing Chops and Little Cutie Pie collided approaching the first turn. Oreo's Portrait, Divine Calling and Mt. View Pearl collided approaching the first turn. Oreo's Portrait, Divine Calling, Little Cutie Pie, Sir Roman and Mt. View Pearl collided on the first turn causing Oreo's Portrait, Divine Calling and Sir Roman to fall; severely checking Little Cutie Pie and Mt. View Pearl, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Little Cutie Pie and Mt. View Pearl collided several times approaching the home turn. Mt. View Pearl raced erratically on the home turn and collided with Little Cutie Pie several times in the home straight, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground. 

Oreo's Portrait underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Divine Calling underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Sir Roman underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pectoral tear.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Pearl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and a left shoulder injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the Trainer of Mt. View Pearl regarding its performance over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mt. View Pearl must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
