Violation was quick to begin.
Mt. View Shark faltered approaching the first turn and lost considerable ground. Colonel Diesel checked off Violation on the home turn. Hurricane Miami and Shaun John collided several times on the home turn. Violation checked off Hurricane Miami in the home straight.
Mt. View Shark underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Colonel Diesel - the winner of the event.
