A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Mirage.
Josephine and Benchester were quick to begin. Son Of Suri and Dim Sim were slow to begin.
Aston Mirage and Begonia Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Begonia Bale and Fleur Burger , Fleur Burger contacted the running rail as a result. Son Of Suri, Aston Mirage and Magnis Bale collided on the first turn checking Aston Mirage which collided with Dim Sim. Magnis and Aston Mirage raced wide on the home turn. Son Of Suri and Benchester collided on the home turn. Begonia Bale raced wide in the home straight.
Fleur Burger underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Josephine - the winner of the event.
Mr D. Drew failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Aston Mirage for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2)
