Steward's Report
Smoke Signals was slow to begin.
Farfalla Nera checked off Smoke Signals on the first turn. Mega McKayla and Placid Murphy collided approaching the home turn. Mega McKayla marred Our Aqua Blue approaching the winning post.
Mega McKayla underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder and left chest muscle injuries. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr W. Dawes, the trainer of Mega McKayla regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Mega McKayle was charged with marring. Mr Dawes pleaded guilty to the charge, Mega McKayla is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
