Steward's Report
Lakeview April and Come Catch Me were quick to begin.
Come Catch Me (checked and lost ground turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Running Sinker (visibly eased turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Mia Sharp regarding Running Sinker's racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Running Sinker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Sharp pleaded not guilty to the charge. Running Sinker was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
