Steward's Report
Dr. Kestrel was slow to begin. Invictus Lawless was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Miss Dozer and Dr. Kestrel collided on the home turn checking Dr. Darkrai and Dr. Kestrel. Seaton Star failed to pursue the lure entering the home straight and collided with Hurricane Craig. Seaton Star failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post.
Seaton Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Ashworth the trainer of the greyhound Seaton Star regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Seaton Star with failing to pursue the lure with due commtiment. Mrs. Ashworth pleaded guilty to the charge, Seaton Star was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months all tracks and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
