Steward's Report
Hot Jean was quick to begin.
Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger collided soon after the start. Tiempo Dinero, Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger collided at the 300m mark, checking Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger. Kiarni Tiger galloped on the Sargent at the 250m mark, severely checking Sargent which lost ground and tailed off.
Sargent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left gracilis (back) and biceps femoris (thigh) muscles. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from Hot Jean, the winner of the event, and Mayor Digby, the second place-getter in the event.
