Degani checked off Gentle Giant at the 300m mark. Gentle Giant and Ice Cool Kaedyn collided 200m mark, checking both greyhounds. Gentle Giant and Ice Cool Kaedyn collided at the 150m mark. Gentle Giant clipped the heels of Sunlit Digger at the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds. Ice Cool Kaedyn, Kouta Gold and Bear Left raced tightly and collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Abela, the trainer of Aston It Is, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Aston It Is last raced on 22 April 2018. Mr Abela stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right stopper injury. Mr Abela also declared a new weight of 37.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Aston It Is last raced at 35.7kg.

Stewards spoke to Ms Lisa Hellmuth, the trainer of Nike Viper, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nike Viper last raced on 28 April 2018. Ms Hellmuth stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right wrist injury.

Joe's Dolly was quick to begin.

Wise Piquet and Aston It Is collided at the 300m mark. Wise Piquet checked off Aston It Is at the 250m mark. Joe's Dolly and Dyna Hunter collided at the 150m mark.

Hot Jean was quick to begin.

Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger collided soon after the start. Tiempo Dinero, Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger collided at the 300m mark, checking Hasten Slowly and Kiarni Tiger. Kiarni Tiger galloped on the Sargent at the 250m mark, severely checking Sargent which lost ground and tailed off.

Sargent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left gracilis (back) and biceps femoris (thigh) muscles. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Master Winslow was a late scratching at 07:54AM due to illness (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Startron and Sobered Up (late Pistol Nite) collided soon after the start. Peter Galo, Azalea and Startron collided at the 250m mark. Azalea and Startron collided at the 200m mark.

Inga Tom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lost nail on the right front foot. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: The initial publication of the box draw for the Healesville Cup was incorrectly published in heat winning order. This was corrected and updated shortly thereafter.    

Satisfactory Trial Results - Blond Annie trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 27.0kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.37, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6L. Blond Annie was cleared.
