Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter, Peter Brennan did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Mr Sin Rap.
Mr. Sin Rap, Chilli Crumpet and Aston Kinnie were slow to begin.
Isabella's Blitz (checked and visibly eased in the back straight, then pulled up in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 4 – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. George Cini regarding Isabella's Blitz’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Isabella's Blitz was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Cini pleaded guilty to the charge. Isabella's Blitz was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Dear Carla Lou – the winner of the event.
