All Inn Baz was slow to begin. Pyrenees Inferno and Lektra Menzel collided soon after the start, checking Lektra Menzel. Robo's A Flyer and Rancette collided soon after the start, checking Robo's A Flyer. Lektra Menzel checked off Robo's A Flyer on the first turn. Rancette checked off Pyrenees Inferno approaching the home turn. Robo's A Flyer checked off Rancette on the home turn. Rancette and Pyrenees Inferno collided in the home straight. Rancette, Pyrenees Inferno and Avatar Vixen collided approaching the winning post, checking Pyrenees Inferno and Rancette.
Rancette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hindleg and an abdominal muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
