Steward's Report
Starbright Vic was slow to begin. Back On Lava and True Colours collided soon after the start, checking Back On Lava. Cosmic Polly and Landon collided approaching the first turn, checking Landon. Landon and Must Have collided on the first turn, checking Must Have. Lektra Stomp and Cosmic Polly collided approaching the home turn, checking Cosmic Polly. Back On Lava checked off Must Have on the home turn. Cosmic Polly and Landon collided on the home turn. True Colours and Landon collided in the home straight. Starbright Vic checked off Must Have in the home straight. Starbright Vic checked off Back On Lava in the home straight.
All clear for this event was delayed to allow Stewards to view official race footage of the start after it appeared that the greyhounds were in the boxes for a length of time before the lure commenced to move. Stewards took evidence from Lure Driver, Mr Robert Hamilton, who stated that he had difficulty seeing the green light at the boxes because of the sunny conditions. As Stewards were of the opinion that no greyhounds were affected at the start, all clear was notified.
