Steward's Report
Peaceful Dove and Arroneous were quick to begin. Skye, Koochie Koo and Hi Big Boy were slow to begin. Dr. Jane was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Skye galloped on the heels of Black Pedrosi soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Black Pedrosi eased on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Tub's Inferno and Dr. Jane collided approaching the home turn. Dr. Jane galloped on the heels of Erroneous approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Skye became dislodged during the running of the event.
Black Pedrosi was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to E.Dowsey the trainer of the greyhound Black Pedrosi. Mr. Dowsey declined to have the greyhound revetted. Acting under GAR 69(1)(b) stewards charged Black Pedrosi with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Warragul and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
