Ronray Spirit and Pud collided soon after the start. Senor Grumpy, Billo's Pick, Ronray Spirit and Pud collided at the 300 metre mark severely checking Billo's Pick and Ronray Spirit; Ronray Spirit stumbled as a result. La Grand Logie and Allkel To Excel collided at the 250 metre mark.
The time of 18.79 was a new track record.
