Steward's Report
Tom Tukan and Mega Mint were slow out. Miss Van Kay checked off Zeros And Comas soon after the start. Tom Tukan and Miss Van Kay collided at the 300mtr mark. Challis Run checked off Orton Babe at the 250mtr mark checking Tom Tukan and Miss Van Kay. Tom Tukan and Miss Van Kay collided at the 150mtr mark checking Miss Van Kay and Blood Donor. Orton Babe and Nelson collided at the 150mtr mark. Nelson checked off Orton Babe at the 100mtr mark. Mega Mint faltered at the 100mtr mark and lost considerable ground as a result. Zeros And Comas, Challis Run and Nelson collided approaching the winning post.
Mega Mint was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock injury. Mega Mint was subsequently euthanased.
The judges inadvertently semaphored 5.1.8.3 as placings for this event, which was corrected to 5.1.7.8 before the all clear was given.
