Parumba Phil was slow out. Shirley's Blue and Jalyn Jones collided soon after the start. Jalyn Jones checked off Rema's Onyx at the 300mtr mark. Arvo's Gotcha and Tramigo collided at the 300mtr mark. Parumba Phil checked off Arvo's Gotcha at the 250mtr mark checking Tramigo. Jalyn Jones checked off Rema's Onyx at the 200mtr mark. Sparrow Baz and Arvo's Josie collided at the 200mtr mark. Shirley's Blue, Rema's Onyx, Arvo's Gotcha and Sparrow Baz collided approaching the winning post.
