Quinberly Soupy, Dodgy Dealer and Fennec were slow to begin. Dodgy Dealer, El Black Galo and Fennec collided approaching the first turn checking El Black Galo which faltered and tailed off as a result. Dodgy Dealer, Erica Black, Etel Allen and Penny Allen collided on the first turn checking Erica Black, Etel Allen and Penny Allen. Erica Black checked off Penny Allen approaching the home turn. Etel Allen and Fennec collided on the home turn. El Black Galo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left thigh muscle and left hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. A sample was taken from Prince's Faye - the winner of the event.
