Eason Bale was a late scratching at 6.30pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. A pre race sample was taken from Arlo's Rocket. Sanctified, Able Power and Nurse Ally were slow to begin. Able Power checked off Frank Bale approaching the first turn. Chad's Chucky clipped the heels of Arlo's Rocket approaching the first turn. Frank Bale crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Chad's Chucky and severely checking Arlo's Rocket. Frank Bale and Nurse Ally collided approaching the home turn checking Nurse Ally. Able Power and Nurse Ally collided in the home straight checking Nurse Ally. Arlo's Rocket was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf muscle, no stand down period was imposed.
