Cosmic Blue was quick to begin. Miss Benbridge was slow to begin. Southwood Danny crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Sheza Lankan, Miss Benbridge and Patch In Time. Pah Leeze and Arvo's Ela collided approaching the first turn. Pah Leeze, Arvo's Ela and Southwood Danny collided on the first turn. Arvo's Ela galloped on Southwood Danny checking Southwood Danny and severely checking Arvo's Ela. Pah Leeze eased on the first turn. Patch In Time checked off Pah Leeze on the first turn. Sheza Lankan and Southwood Danny collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Arvo's Ela and Sheza Lankan raced wide on the home turn. Miss Benbridge raced wide entering the home straight. Pah Leeze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the Stewards charged Pah Leeze with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial All Tracks pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be acdcepted.
