Steward's Report
Skipper Rip, Tears Of Jupiter and Sleeveless were slow out. Skipper Rip and Tears Of Jupiter collided approaching the first turn. Zippy Star checked off the heels of Sheik Lucy on the first turn. Irinka Barbie checked off the heels of Al Fresco on the first turn, checking Zippy Star. Arvo's Junior raced wide approaching the second turn. Irinka Barbie and Sleeveless collided on the second turn and again entering the front straight.Zippy Star and Irinka Barbie collided in the front straight. Sleeveless checked off the heels of Irinka Barbie on the third turn.
Arvo's Junior was vetted following the Event.Dr. Michael Bell, the club's veterinary surgeon, reported that the greyhound had an injury to the right back muscle, and also to the right coupling. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Arvo's junior down from racing for 7 days.
Samples were taken from Skipper Rip, winner of the Event; Al Fresco, the second placed runner; Tears Of Jupiter, the third placed runner.
