World Champ Camp, Knockabout Fred and Willie's Phantom were slow out. World Champ Camp checked off the heels of Shawcross soon after the start. World Champ Camp, Willie's Phantom and Undecided collided approaching the first turn. World Champ Camp, Shawcross, Wockle Bale, Knockabout Fred and Rapid Deception collided on the second turn. Willie's Phantom checked off the heels of Shawcross entering the back straight checking World Champ Camp and Wockle Bale.
A swab sample was taken from Knockabout Fred, the winner of the Event.
