Steward's Report

Buttsie Bale and Koskei were slow out. Longoria Bale, Another Frothy and Metallic Prince collided approaching the first turn checking Longoria Bale, Buttsie Bale and Another Frothy. Girrawarra Flash and Cocktail Rider collided on the first turn checking Koskei and Currency Molly. Longoria Bale, Cocktail Rider and Currency Molly collided approaching the third turn. Koskei and Girrawarra Flash collided approaching the third turn and raced wide on the third turn as a result. Another Frothy and Cocktail Rider collided entering the back straight. Cocktail Rider was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Cocktail Rider was revetted. There was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Trainer of Cocktail Rider, Mr A. McDonald, regarding the greyhound's disappointing performance today. Mr McDonald could offer no explanation other than to report that the greyhound's muzzle was wedged in its mouth on pulling up. Stewards advised Mr McDonald that a repeat of today's performance will warrant further action to be taken by the Stewards.
