Steward's Report
Jericho Bale and Merryfield Katy collided soon after the start. Mixed Intent, Sheoak Donna and Diamond Melody collided soon after the start checking Sheoak Donna. Merryfield Katy and Little Pwaggi collided approaching the first turn. Diamond Melody checked off the heels of Mixed Intent approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Majestic Sal and Sheoak Donna collided on the second turn checking Majestic Sal. Diamond Melody eased on the third turn. Merryfield Katy and Little Pwaggi collided approaching the home turn checking Little Pwaggi. Little Pwaggi and Mixed Intent collided in the home straight. Diamond Melody eased in the home straight and tailed off as a result.
Diamond Melody was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left fibula, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR98(1)(d), Stewards charged Diamond Melody with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.
