Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Alotta Luck.
Alotta Luck and Kalaway Ernie were slow to begin. Alotta Luck and Power Volt collided soon after the start. Sooty Lee and Turbo Norris collided approaching the first turn. Velloway crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Turbo Norris; Power Volt and Alotta Luck were checked as a result. Power Volt and Velloway collided on the first turn checking Kalaway Ernie and severely checking Velloway; Power Volt and Alotta Luck fell as a result. Turbo Norris and Kalaway Ernie collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Alotta Luck was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to it's left fore leg. No stand down period was imposed.
Velloway was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Power Volt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's right triangle and grazing to it's left fore leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
