Dyna Glinda and Zipping Felix were slow to begin. Reckless Brown and Sweet Shadow collided soon after the start checking Dyna Glinda. Bogner Bale, Jack Silver, April Rose and Sweet Shadow collided approaching the first turn checking Sweet Shadow and April Rose. Sweet Shadow checked off April Rose approaching the first turn and collided with Dyna Glinda; Sweet Shaow and Dyna Glinda were checked as a result. Bogner Bale and All Sky Girl collided on the first turn. April Rose, Zipping Felix and All Sky Girl collided approaching the second turn checking all three greyhounds.
