Just Jocka, Flying Effort and Lucida collided approaching the first turn checking Just Jocka and Flying Effort. Schroder Girl and Bit Iffy collided on the first turn checking Bit Iffy and Paint Stripper. Just Jocka checked off Lucida approaching the home turn. From Davine and Schroder Girl collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to registered trainer Mr. L. Mitchell and issued him with a warning regarding his failure to display his license.
Stewards spoke to registered trainer Mr. L. Mitchell, representing Mr. K. Mitchell, regarding the improved performance of the greyhound Shady Train. Mr. Mitchell stated that the greyhound began quickly today and was able to lead and maintain the lead without any interference. Stewards noted his explanation and took a post race sample from the greyhound.
Stewards spoke to registered handler Miss K. Smith, regarding her lateness to the kennels to prepare the greyhound Shady Train for this event. Stewards issued Miss Mitchell a warning.
