A pre race sample was taken from New Guinea Gold.
Greysynd Bomber and New Guinea Gold were slow to begin. Go Wild Stress was slow to begin and lost considerable ground soon after the start. Vapour King and Crab Meat collided approaching the first turn checking Crab Meat. Vapour King crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Vapourette. Mr. Zed checked off My Lee on the first turn. Greysynd Bomber and New Guinea Gold collided approaching the second turn checking Greysynd Bomber. Vapourette checked off Vapour King on the second turn checking New Guinea Gold. Crab Meat and Greysynd Bomber collided in the home straight. Mr. Zed clipped the heels of Greysynd Bomber in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Go Wild Stress was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh. a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
New Guinea Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh and minor skin abrasions. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
