Steward's Report
Braemar Jeannie was quick to begin. Terrorising Tom and Albatross wings were slow to begin.
Braemar Jeannie (visibly eased approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Yvonne Cassidy regarding Braemar Jeannie’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Braemar Jeannie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Cassidy pleaded guilty to the charge. Braemar Jeannie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Pretty Goldie (visibly eased approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 4 - no apparent injury was reported. Pretty Goldie Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Lund regarding Pretty Goldie’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Pretty Goldie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge. Pretty Goldie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Terrorising Tom (marred Braemar Jeannie on the home turn) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and bruising to the right achilles. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Lindsay Fulford regarding Terrorising Tom’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Terrorising Tom was charged with marring. Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge. Terrorising Tom was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr Desmond McPhie was reminded of his responsibilities for failing to follow the Starter's orders when boxing Ballymac Storm, pursuant to GAR 105.
