Due to a technical issue with the first split judging equipment, first split times were calculated using Isolynx data.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Speedy Bear.
Coconut Felipe was slow to begin.
Luna Pack (turned its head to the inside approaching the 200m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Paula Boots regarding Luna Pack's racing manners approaching the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Luna Pack was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge. Luna Pack was found guilty and suspended for three months (3rd offence) at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
In The Clouds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Angela Galea regarding In The Clouds' overall performance in the event. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Galea to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of In The Cloud in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 17/9/24 : Trainer Angela Galea notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that In The Clouds was found to have a more significant back injury than initially diagnosed. The injury will require rest and rehabilitation for up to 2 weeks and successful trialling; before a return to racing.
