An out of competition sample was taken from Big Alfie on Tuesday, 1 March 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Dream Wizard was quick to begin. Big Alfie was slow to begin.
Big Alfie and Manila Dusk collided soon after the start. My Mate Tip checked off the heels of Dream Wizard on the first turn and collided with Big Alfie and Indy Juno. Westside Warrior and Indy Juno collided approaching the home turn. Levi Bale faded in the home straight.
Big Alfie underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Levi Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A three day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Levi Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
