Queen Of Stripes was quick to begin.  Not Arandt was slow to begin.

Queen Of Stripes and Lektra Lance collided on the first turn.  Lektra Lance galloped on the heels of Queen Of Stripes approaching the home turn; Queen Of Stripes fell as a result.  Crackercjack Pa and Ordelia Bale collided approaching the home turn.

Queen Of Stripes underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg hock and triangle injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Lance underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg hip injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Moth Rocks and Mepunga Web were quick to begin.  Destroy We Said was slow to begin.

Mepunga Web faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result.  Lektra Rhino checked off the heels of Moth Rocks on the first turn and collided with Rothford.  Lektra Rhino checked off Moth Rocks on the home turn.

Mepunga Web underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Stewards spoke with handler, Ms Maddison O'Neil-Crozier after she entered the track near the winning post in an attempt to catch Mepunga Web.  After hearing submissions from Ms Smith and going through the provisions of the GRV Track Rules and Exclusion Zone Procedures, Stewards reminded Ms Smith of her responsibilities to not enter the track at any time when either the lure is moving or during a race.

Lektra Nick – The frequency of racing of was discussed with Paul Hammerstein, his comments were noted.

Cherokee Slider checked off the heels of Zipping Tula soon after the start.  Lektra Nick and Zipping Iris collided soon after the start.  Zipping Tula checked off Zipping Iris on the first turn.  Lektra Nick and Zipping Iris collided on the first turn.

Lektra Nick underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following heavy rain in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Stewards continued to monitor thunderstorm activity in the area in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure.

Indy Ghost and Paddy's Marvel collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Knight checked off the heels of Lektra Gal on the first turn and collided with Indy Ghost and Paddy's Marvel.  Lektra Gal tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Gypsy Yankee was quick to begin.  Indy Fido was slow to begin.

Keep It Black and Hill Top Jack collided soon after the start.  Indy Honey checked off the heels of Indy Fido on the first turn and collided with Keep It Black and Hill Top Jack; severely checking Indy Honey.  Indy Matilda checked off the heels of Lala Ivory on the home turn and collided several times with Keep It Black.

An out of competition sample was taken from Big Alfie on Tuesday, 1 March 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Big Alfie and Manila Dusk collided soon after the start.  My Mate Tip checked off the heels of Dream Wizard on the first turn and collided with Big Alfie and Indy Juno.  Westside Warrior and Indy Juno collided approaching the home turn.  Levi Bale faded in the home straight.

Levi Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A three day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Levi Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
