Take Whatever and Go Flash Go were quick to begin.
Moonlight River (Faltered and lost ground from the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right and left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Doongalla Don - the winner of the event.
