Steward's Report
Lektra Nick – The frequency of racing of was discussed with Paul Hammerstein, his comments were noted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Nick.
Maximum Ang and Fletch were quick to begin. Cherokee Slider was slow to begin.
Cherokee Slider checked off the heels of Zipping Tula soon after the start. Lektra Nick and Zipping Iris collided soon after the start. Zipping Tula checked off Zipping Iris on the first turn. Lektra Nick and Zipping Iris collided on the first turn.
Lektra Nick underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following heavy rain in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
Stewards continued to monitor thunderstorm activity in the area in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure.
