Steward's Report
Pull Shot – Late scratching at 9:02 am due to non–arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Kevin Ward informed Stewards that he had transport issues which meant he could not present the greyhound within the specified time. Stewards advised Mr Ward that evidence will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Cawbourne Move went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Jack's Fantasy checked off Bourne Maximum soon after the start, checking Grand Warrior. Grand Warrior checked off Sir Julian on the home turn. Megasonic checked off Bourne Maximum entering the home straight, checking Cawbourne Move.
Sir Julian underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed
A post-race sample was taken from Jack's Fantasy – the winner of the event.
Megasonic – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.
Supplementary Report: The stand-down issued under GAR 31 upon Pull Shot was lifted on 14 December 2021.
