A pre-race sample was taken from So Joe Mac.
Junior, Andy Time, Aston Malmo and Giaan's Girl collided soon after the start checking Andy Time and Aston Malmo. So Joe Mac checked off Aston Malmo on the first turn also checking Giaan's Girl. Giaan's Girl and So Joe Mac collided approaching the home turn checking Giaan's Girl. Andy Time checked off Forbidden Love approaching the home turn. Junior and Aston Malmo collided in the home straight.
Giaan's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Junior underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms T. Deglaitis regarding the racing manners of Junior in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms T. Deglaitis, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
